Live Homework Help®
Live Homework Help® for students and adult learners
Online tutors are available on demand, every day from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. for one-to-one help with everything from homework to skills building and test prep. Test prep now includes exclusive Princeton Review materials for ACT and SAT! Professionally trained and experienced tutors will help students in kindergarten through 12th grades with math, science, English and social studies. Tutors will help adult learners with their GED, adult education courses, grammar help with their resume or a work-related project, and more. This service is only available during the school year.
How it works
The student and tutor communicate in a virtual classroom via IM (instant messenger). Live Homework Help® also uses two-way white boards, which are especially helpful for math and science problems. Through Live Homework Help®, the tutor sees the grade level, subject and student’s question and the student sees the tutor’s first name and last initial. The tutor is not allowed to share personal or identifying information. With your Black Earth, Mazomanie or Dane County library card, you may get free Live Homework Help® every day, 2 to 11 p.m.
Notice! A dialog box now opens after you enter your library card number that says you can create a free account. This account allows you to return to tutoring services and request the same tutor again. It also allows you to save your tutoring sessions. Your library card number simply allows you access to tutor.com, but the tutor.com account that you create is not linked to your library card and is private.
NEW! Mobile tutoring now available for iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad! Download apps from iTunes!
Wisconsin Heights School District's Live Homework Help® is funded by the Wisconsin Heights Education Foundation, the Jim Erickson Foundation, the Friends of the Black Earth Public Library and the Friends of the Mazomanie Public Library. Click on the smiley logo to get started.
